Mad Tea Party!

Oh, I'm late, I'm late!

A very happy un-birthday to all of you! Thanks so much to A Fanciful Twist for your inspiration!

I am a chef so I wanted to add a few Tea Party Favorites to today's fun! Visit my favorite Tea Party place in Paris...Laduree! The Macaroons alone are worth the trip!

My Favorite Tea Sandwich.....from Once Upon a Tart in NYC!

Vermont White Cheddar and Cucumber Sandwich with Mango Chutney Mustard on Sliced Seven Grain Bread

Recipe for Mango Chutney Mustard
In a food processor fitted with a metal blade, process 1 jar of Major Grey's Mango Chutney
with 1 cup coarse grain Dijon mustard
Courtesy of Frank and Jerome

and finally my favorite thing with a good cup of Earl Grey or Fresh Mint Tea is a slice of heavenly simple chocolate cake!

No Icing, No Flour, No Mixer, No Kidding!

preheat oven to 350
(1) 9 inch baking pan

2 cups unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
15 ounces best quality dark chocolate
3/4 cup sugar
8 eggs

Grease or spray the baking pan. Melt the butter, cream and Chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring each time. Add the sugar and stir until well dissolved, beat the eggs with a whisk or fork and add the chocolate mixture. Stir until well mixed and smooth.

Pour into pan and bake for 40 minutes. Remove and allow to cool in the pan (best if made 1 day ahead). Chill in cooler for 4- 6 hours. Dust with powdered sugar and serve. Voila!

Have a great Tea Party Today!
